Way, way back in the day, like, six or seven years ago, I emailed her via her website to ask what had happened to the dog in the opening scenes of Minx, as the heroine saves a young boy who ran out into the street after his puppy, and the puppy’s safety isn’t mentioned again. Side story: Quinn is also one of the very first romance authors I ever interacted with personally. One of my favorites is easily one of the top romances I’ve read (That’d be The Duke and I, which if I go near it, it sucks me in and I reread the whole goddam thing no matter how much I have to do). Which is the cruelest joke of all, because this arrogant and illustrious duke has made the mistake of falling in love. And if Thomas is not the duke, then he's not engaged to Amelia. But just when he begins to realize that his bride might be something more than convenient, Thomas's world is rocked by the arrival of his long-lost cousin, who may or may not be the true Duke of Wyndham. Thomas rather likes having a fiancée-all the better to keep the husband-hunters at bay-and he does intend to marry her.

A mere six months old when the contracts were signed, she has spent the rest of her life waiting. Amelia Willoughby has been engaged to the Duke of Wyndham for as long as she can remember.
